Privacy Policy
Ring Ring is a card game for two to four players, each on their own device. This page explains what the game and its server do with information, in plain words.
The short version
- There is no account. You pick a display name and play.
- No ads, no tracking, no third-party analytics, and we do not sell or rent information.
- We do not use your contacts, location, photos, microphone or advertising identifier.
- Your hand history stays on your device.
What we handle, and why
| Information | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Display name you choose | Shown to the other players in your match, so they know who is who. | Kept with the match on our server. Finished or abandoned matches are deleted about a day after they end. An unused invitation expires after 24 hours. |
| Gameplay: the cards dealt to the match, plays, passes and scores | The server runs the game and checks every move, so nobody can cheat. | Deleted with the match, as above. |
| A random device credential | Proves a later request comes from the same device that joined, in place of an account. It is stored in your device's Keychain. The server keeps only a one-way verifier, never the credential itself. | Deleted with the match. Deleting the app removes the credential from your device. |
| Notification token, only if you allow notifications | To send a "your turn" alert for a match you are in. The alert text is generic and shows no cards. | Dropped when the match ends. |
| Ruling reports, only if you send one | Helps tune the rules. A report holds the match and hand context, a category, and an optional note you write. It identifies players by a per-match label, not your display name. | 30 days. |
| Technical and aggregate data | Keeping the service running: request counts, errors, response times, and which app version is connecting. These are counted together and are not tied to a person. Your network address is used briefly to limit abuse and is not stored with your match. | Aggregate counts only. Our hosting provider may process network addresses as part of delivering traffic. |
What stays on your device
Your display name, settings, and your hand history (a replayable record of each completed hand) are stored only on your device. Hand history is kept for 30 days and you can delete any record, or all of them, from the app.
Who sees your information
- Other players in your match see your display name and the plays you make, as in any card game. They never see your cards.
- Service providers. The game runs on Google Cloud, and Apple delivers notifications and the app. They process information to provide those services and not for their own advertising of Ring Ring.
- We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Inviting friends
An invitation is a link or a QR code. If you invite someone from your contacts, the app only opens the Messages composer with the link. We do not read, upload or store your contacts.
Your choices
- Choose any display name. It does not have to be your real name.
- Turn notifications off in iOS Settings at any time.
- Delete hand history in the app. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device.
- Match data on our server is deleted automatically as described above. To ask for earlier deletion, write to support@neatneatneat.dev.
Children
Ring Ring is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
